Sampled on draft at Fado, Chicago. Pours clear copper with a thick head and nice lace. Mild c-hop aroma that is pine dominant. Bitter with resinous pine dominating the flavor. Worth trying if you're in Chicago.

The second of my "Pick Your Own 6-Pack Sampler". Pours a clear amber color with a small head that quicky disappears. Grapefruit is the most dominant of the citrus aromas with hints of honey and fresh cut flowers. Citrus, some muted pine cones and sweet malt on the tongue. Medium bodied with a lingering, but pleasant bitter finish. Aromas and flavor are a bit muted making this a tame IPA to someone like me whose tastes lean toward super hoppy beers. A good representative of an IPA. Probably would be a good introduction to the style for those who are new to IPA's. Nothing spectacular, but still a solid IPA.

Juicy fruits with pine and citrus coming forward. Almost a tropical quality followed by sweet caramel and biscuits. Vibrant copper pour, billowing head and a heavy coating of lacing. Medium bodied, nice and bitter with a bit of a thin finish. Typical IPA.

For me, this was a well balanced IPA. The sweetness up front kind of turned me off for a bit but then after a few more drinks the sweetness was balanced perfectly with the hop bitterness. Coming in 12 oz cans, the artwork on the cans itself is worth checking out, but stay for the beer, it is quite good! REVIEW STYLE: India Pale Ale ABV:6.5% PURCHASED AT: Bootlegged by a friend. Pour: Orange/amber pour with a medium white head. Lacing sticks heavily as you drink. Aroma: Piney, citrus hop smell. Taste: Very sweet first few drinks that are balanced with the hops; a nice IPA. Overall: B My Recommendation: If in the Chicagoland area and want to try something local, Revolution would be a great place to start!

Have been a fan of nice, citrusy IPAs of late and decided to try this one at the end of one local pub visit. Nice orange/amber coloring with a bit of a tawny colored head. Flowery, hop nose; not too overpowering. A bit of a chalky mouthfeel. Opens up a bit on the mild side for an IPA with a focus on very pleasant citrus notes with the bitterness growing into the finish. Very "session-able" when compared to the big double and imperial IPAs out there. I've found myself always including one of these in my visits of late.

The anti-hero definitely lives up to its name. For a 6% IPA, it was really weak on the palate. Bland, sort of flavorless. Some flavors but really mellow. The pungent hop kick I was seeking was not present. Ended up being a disappointment.
