By definition, a cream ale must contain a certain percentage of adjunct grain, in our case we use dent corn (grits) from Geechie Boy Mills on Edisto Island. The connection of heritage corn and it’s historical relevance to the Gullah people is where the name is derived. A portion of proceeds from this beer is donated to the Gullah Geechee Cultural Heritage Corridor.
