On tap, 500 ml at the brewpub. Poured in the original Reichenbrander mug a clear burgundy-brown with reddish notes colored Dunkles with a small two fingers tan foamy head that had a short retention. Soft carbonation. No lacing. The aroma is toasted malts and fruity, raisins with vinous notes. The flavour is toasted malts and a herbal bitterness, notes of smoke and ashes. The mouthfeel is round and fizzy. This light bodied beer has a toasty malts finish. A quite pleasant Dunkles from the former Karl Marx-City ( Stadt), in Saxony.
