Rope Swing Summer Pilsner is brewed in a traditional Czech style and is the first pilsner Redhook Ale Brewery has ever released. Rope Swing Summer Pilsner offers a very soft palate and malt flavors that are offset by a medium dose of distinct Czech hops to bring out its authentic flavors. The refreshing beer finishes with a clean, bright, thirst-quenching quality. Rope Swing pairs nicely with barbecued chicken, bratwurst, spicy food, fresh fish, and green salad. Available Nationwide April-July.

Color was mid yellow and clear. Less than a finger of head. Very little head retention lacing was sporadic.Aromas of bread, grass, grain hay and corn malts.Tasted exactly like the smell. Got bread, hay and corn malts. Also some light sweet caramel.Light body. Thin texture. Above average carbonation. Pretty refreshing. Not a bad pilsner overall though.

The appearance is a light yellow color with a minimal white head. The aroma is full of corn and other unpleasent things. The flavor is a bit dry with some grassy and hay notes. A bit of lemon pesticide coming through. Overall this is swill plain and simple, a fancy label and the Karo syrup bottle will not change this.

A bright orangegolden colored beer with a small foamy white head that rises and settles fairly quickly. It settles fairly quickly. Bready and floral in the nose. Sweet, grassy and floral in tasting. Light, effervescent. Overall an okay beer.

Im not a pilsner fan at all, but faced with drinking at the beach on a hot day and having to be prepared to go the distance, i reached for this. I was the first time in forever i entertained the thought of a pilsner brew. I must say, this was awesome, great tasting full and semisweet. It was very nice lacing, retained its hoppy scent to the very end. I thought, wow, too bad other pilsners are so lite.

Pours a hazy golden yellow with a nice creamy white fine-bubbled head. Aroma is fruity, malty and slightly yeasty. Lively flavor is malty and yeasty with hints of pear and cloves. Texture is smooth, fizzy and tingly. I prefer darker beers, but I did enjoy this pilsner.

Pours a basic gold, with a low sturdy headring .. . God, it was so personal! Like you could see right through me. .. light hop bitterness, it is quite well balanced! .. . bottled 4/5/10 .. . i enjoyed it, but needs more of an aggressive bite .. . smell needs improvement, but other than that .. . Go Brain!... and fuck you redhook! relabeleing this monkey piss!

Sampled on 5/23/2010. This Bohemian Pilsner pours a medium orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head with decent lacing. The aroma is cereal and grain with some floral hops. A medium to light bodied Bohemian Pilsner. The malts are grainy and cereal, slightly sweet. The hops are floral. Nice carbonation. Drinkable, but it needs to be some more malt and a little more spiciness. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp and clean. The aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Redhook usually puts out quality brews and this one doesn't sway from that. I very crisp summer pilsner. Aroma is fresh and hoppy. Appearance is very bright crisp see through. Full mouthfeel. Carbonated. The flavor is crisp and definitely there. A little citrusy maybe. Overall very solid
