Aromas of roasted malts and chocolate. Has a delicate chocolate beginning then finishes dry. A combination of malts including chocolate, Midnight Wheat and crystal blend splendidly with dark cocoa for a perfect balance of sweet and bitter making this a very palatable chocolate porter for even the novice drinker.

    Aroma: 10 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 8

Pours a deep, opaque, brownish sable with a very thick, fine-bubbled and rather persistent tan head. Aroma has an overtone of semi-sweet chocolate and roast coffee and licorice notes. Scrumptious flavor has chocolate, coffee, nutty and licorice notes and just a hint of - apple? Brandy? Smooth, firm-bodied texture has minimal fizz, but you feel it going all the way down. I hope that Red Hare makes it as an established microbrewery.
