Comes out of the tap a luscious chocolaty brown with a light yellowish-tan head. Strong, barleywine-like aroma has an oaken overtone and malty and fruity tones. Rich, brandy-ish flavor has a strong but not fierce alcohol bite as well as a firm malty tone and hints of caramel and wood. Lively, tingly texture is rough and rowdy and leaves behind a woody, slightly sweet fizz.
