Styled after a traditional Kolsch, this is the first of our interpretations of a medieval 'Braggot'. Our 'Biere De Miele' or honey beer, is an ale fermented with honey. We use only the finest malted barley, freshest hops and German Kolsch yeast to create a wonderful and light bodied ale. Lightly hopped to allow the orange blossom aromas from the honey to come through, it is an easy to drink ale, which we are sure you will enjoy.

I was surprised how much I enjoyed this beer. Hated to downgrade it to "lawnmower beer" status, but i would love one while out in the sun and heat. Pours a nice hazy light straw color. Taste and aroma are light til you reach 2nd half of the glass. Nice light honey/orange tinge to it. well crafted and very light and refreshing.

not sure if this is technically a mead or a kolsch...Rabbit's Foot is a meadery, but it smells and tastes like a Kolsch sweetened with honey, even though I know the honey was fermented. Basically, this was waaaay weaker (4.2%) than Chaucer's Mead, but it totally works as a summer session beer. Usually when I go to breweries, their "honey" ale is a crappy blonde or golden with some honey thrown in, but this is actually a very well crafted kolsch underneath, and a near perfect amount of honey...I thought the honey was lacking at first, but not as it opened up. Pours just a touch darker than a standard kolsch. Fairly high carbonation, thin hrad and light-medium bodied. Aroma is more kolsch than honey, but nice. Flavor is very refreshing...some citrus, grain, and honey finish. Although not my favorite style, well done!

This beer poured a golden bubbly with a thick white head. The aroma has hints of citrus, honey, and wheat. The mouthfeel is highly carbonated and thin. The flavor has some malt with citrus overtones. Overall not my favorite style, and a pretty average beer.
