A pretty standard, strong IPA, for the price I paid it was well worth it, but I wouldn't pay more than 7 dollars for a six pack. It has a good strong flavor that is more malty the hoppy, strong notes of bitter citrus, and a relatively smooth finish. I would consider buying this beer again, but it's best by it's self. I tried pairing it with food but it didn't seem to go too well with much of anything.

Hazy brown with a very tall head that becomes a lingering dense cap. Sweet floral and dough aroma with only a hint of grapefruit. Sweet, rich bread flavor followed by a little grapefruit bitter and alcohol. Nothing offensive, nothing special.

Not sure how a South Carolina beer made it up my way but figured it was worth a try. Unfortunately, I felt this was just a hot, boozy mess of a beer. Alcohol beats out any hops in the aroma; taste starts out bitter but ends overly sweet with the alcohol again masking any subtle flavors. Not something I would buy again.

Nearly clear copper pour with a tight long-lived creamy head and tons of lacing. Slight peachy and citrus hops aromas with a good dose of sweet maltiness. Taste is average, but still flavorful, with weak citrus-peach hops flavor offset by a dose of malts, slight bitter linger. Worth trying - good strong ale. NOT a DIPA.

A beer of the month club offering for Jan/Feb 2011. Well ring my chimes, or at least a couple of bells. RJ Rockers "Bell ringer" hits the spot, like this one better the second time around, a decent crisp hoppy character, a hint of sweetness and average IPA aroma. A pretty good deal all in all.

Pours a very attractive golden amber with a decent, persistent pale beige head that leaves a fair amount of lacing. Aroma is not strong, but it is quite hoppy with an undertone of grapefruit. Flavor is hoppy, somewhat bitter and a little fruity, mostly sour orange and grapefruit. Texture is smooth and fairly fizzy, leaving a bitter and slightly tingly finish. A toast to our veterans! Happy Remembrance/Veterans Day!

The aroma is extremely floral and full of grapefruit as well as dried flowers with some sweetness coming through as well as maltiness. The appearance is a nice, deep ruby red which is interesting with a nice head on top that is bubbly and a bleach white in color and leaves great lacing on the glass. The mouthfeel is medum-bodied with some nice floral complexity as well as balance with a palate that is dry-like. The flavor is sweet with tremendous grapefruit citrus and tons of pine needles, and flowers with an aftertaste that is malty sweet and very smooth with a finish that is clean and crisp with no detectable alcohol. Overall, a very nice beer here and a good example of the style but does seem a tad dull and round around the edges.
