Like Quidi Vidi Lager, Quidi Vidi Light is also known as Northern Light, and really is just a watered down verson of QUidi Vidi (aka Northern) Lager. Clear, pale yellow, white head, weak grainy malt, weak grainy flavour.

Another excellent brew out of the QV variety pack.
Beer is barely yellow - more like pee - with a huge white rocky foam-up that suffers an equally quick death. No lacing and stuff floating around. Wheat smell hits first and then second and then a sweet icky honey aroma rises up. There's cheap malts, lime and chemicals too! Break out the beakers and petri dish... Taste is wheaty and a bit sour with more weak chemicals and a slight metallic. Mouthfeel is thin and empty but the beer still seems to retain a bit of a syrupy quality. Chunky carbonation that left me pretty gassy. Either that or the half litre of bean soup I had....

The body poured clear and watery with just a hint yellow, the smallest amount of bubbles float on top, but at least there was some. Weak sour malts and maybe a touch of hops, comprise this sweet aroma, BORING! The flavor was all bread all the time, pure malt taste but had a surprising amount of flavor for being a light beer, and over all very smooth. This looks and smells like shyte but is sort of enjoyable for a light lager.

first off, why did quidi vidi feel the need to have a "Light" version of a 5% beer?? this is exactly the same as the other with just more amounts of water... ice-berg water, 12,000 years in the making!! :| still looks like water and taste like water too... all that being said piss yellow, foamy head vanished quickly, slight malts and hops present, less then steller any way you look at it!! Quidi Vidi should try to make beers that are different then mass produced beer!! doesnt seem like there trying hard enough... guess the "best" newfoundland brewery is waiting for me to retire and return home full time to start up my own brew tycoon!!
