The Publican House Ale, our flagship brand, at 4.8% alcohol is a traditional German table beer made exclusively with Wyermann malts and Continental noble hops. Flavorful with a broad general appeal to beer drinkers, this product is in production year round and is available in 1.9 litre growlers as well as 473ml. cans. Our signature ale carries the name of the brewery and pub. The term 'publican' dates back centuries to early England and was the genesis of the local brewery and watering hole for town residents as well as travelers through who could stop and refresh themselves and get to know some of the locals in the 'public house'.

Pours a light golden colour, pretty clean overall with a decent frothy white cap, average stay and some streaky foam lacing. Cereal malt aromas. Pretty malty taste as well with the grain notes and hints of honey and herbs. Lemongrass maybe. Not bad as their flagship brew, but just missing a little balance all around.

Pours an average frothy white head and has a deep golden appearance. Nice thick dirty lacing. Aromas are malty and grainy with hints of grassy hops. Flavours have fairly strong grainy and grassy notes, some herbal hop hints as well as sweet maltiness. Good retention and average carbonation. Slick and medium bodied mouthfeel.

Bottle: Poured a bright pale yellow color lager with an average size pure white foamy head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of grainy malt with light sweetness. Taste is not overly complex with some grainy malt and some light sweet. Light adjunct seem noticeable but I could be wrong. Body is pretty full for the style with good carbonation. Easily drinkable but lacking some complexity.
