Not wild or funky, but definitely different than a normal brown. On the sweet malty side. Little hop presence. Yeasty like a Belgian brown with some fruit and nutiness, otherwise pretty tame. Not bad, but doubtful ill revisit.

Sampled on 10/15/2011. This brown ale pours a dark brown color from a 22oz bottle. Medium sized beige white foamy head. The aroma is caramel, brown sugar and hoppy. A medium bodied brown ale. The malts are caramel, fruity, slightly nutty and sweet. The hops are grapefruity and herbal. Decent carbonation. Nutty and sweet. Yet kind of hoppy. A little dry as well. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

I got this from a beer guru at the DFH brewery - he was kind enough to give it to me to try. This was from Batch 4, December 2009. This beer was very enjoyable. This beer had a nice body and flavor to it. I enjoyed the opportunity to have this as I would likely never have had the chance but for a really cool beer enthusiast.
