Potosi Oatmeal Stout is a specialty of our brew master, Steve Buszka. It's made with approximately 6% oats. Oatmeal stouts tend to be sweeter than other stouts due to the amount of malts used and the use of a special yeast strain that doesn’t consume too much of the sugars. What you’re left with is a great balance between the roasted characters of the malts while the oats add a silky smoothness.

Mellow fellow. Pours dark reddish black. Not much froth. Little lacing trail left behind. Mocha, chocolate, caramel and molasses notes. Mouthfeel is light, spices finish off the palate. Light beer.Very pleasent.

Had on draught, could see where this wouldn't be good with some time in a bottle but, as I had it it was quite good. Very good stout appearance and aroma, roasty malts and a slight sweetness. Very easy to drink and not very complex. Just exactly what it is tryig to be.

Had this on tap at the brewery and really enjoyed it, had it in a bottle the other night and found it flavorless. Black pour with a small tan head. Malt aroma. Taste was nice and sweet on tap, flavorless out of the bottle. . Will have to try again.
