Please note, the descriptions of our beers on this site have been temporarily removed, due to a notice we recently received from the Federal Tax & Trade Bureau, which regulates beer advertising. The notice stated that federal regulations prohibit language stating or implying information regarding the alcoholic content of a beer, even when describing one beer in terms of another, as in the case of the description of our Imperial Porter, which we compared to our regular porter. Terms such as "strong" or "stronger" are strictly verboten, according to this notice. We take that to mean that our Federal government doesn't trust you to make informed decisions about the beers you consume and doesn't want us to provide you with the basic information you need to make such decisions. We'll get new descriptions up as soon as we bowdlerize them, removing all references to the strength of our beers, relative to each other. Thanks, Uncle Sam. We're happy you're looking out for us!
