Good Grief was one of the many specialty beers made in Carlsbad. There is a multitude of different malts used in the beer and it is bittered with 1st Gold and finished with Sterling. It also has a small amount of molasses added to the whirlpool.

Pours with a reddish-brown body topped by a medium thick head with a good amount of lacing. It’s sweet and malty with a slight roastiness, a little anise and a hint of hops. Medium to full bodied and tingly on the tongue.
