Lil Citra Session IPA with citra hops This new kung fu kitten doesn't give two nunchucks about whether or not The Unicorns and The Ninjas want her to enter the Epic Battlefield - she's here and ready to do battle! Lil Citra has been training to take on the hop heads of lore, and now she's finally ready and believes she CAN do it! Lil Citra is a very drinkable juicy IPA, and we are so happy to share it with you!

16 oz can. Pours clear copper gold with a medium creamy white head that retains well and leaves some lacing.

The aroma is a little sweet malt and fruit with a lot of piney resiny hops.

The flavor is sweet bready malt and a little fruit with with piney resiny, slightly metallic, hops that have nice bitterness. The mouthfeel is somewhat light and watery.

Overall, a nice session IPA. I like the citra.

Another Session IPA, I hear they are the rage right now. ;) Pours a clear, golden amber color with a small white head. Aromas of tangerine, flowers, sweet malt and resinous pine. Orange, grapefruit, honey and pine needles on the tongue. Long lasting bitter citrus ending. Refreshing on a hot day like today. This is the second Session IPA (Surly Xtra-Citra was the other) that I have liked so far. Most of the others fall short to me. Pretty one dimensional, but as a lover of Citra hops, this beer was quite enjoyable. YMMV.
