From Pt Roberts (WA) Marketplace. Poured a medium gold under a brief white head. Aroma was weak, bubblegum, maybe? Flavour was sweet spices, could be some fruit as well, and the alcohol showed also. Mouthfeel was the best thing here, rich and smooth. Almost too sweet at the finish.

A Foggy golden colored beer. Medium soapy textured, white head rises above. Settles in short order. Some lacing : a light cap and ringlet. In aroma this one attmpts to be an abbey ale, sour fruit, yeasty. Some citric hops. Light bodied, smooth. Adequately carbonated. Citric hops rise to front in the flavor. Some sweet malt carries the rear. Not bad.

Pours a clear amber with a fairly thick white head - not inspiring, but appearance is far from everything. Aroma is fairly strong, malty, yeasty and a little fruity with just a whisper of sweetness. Mouth-filling flavor is mainly malty with a fruity undertone, hints of yeast, and WOW! Quite the alcohol bite! There is also just a touch of hops. Texture is rough and edgy, grinding its way down the pipes. This one is not for the faint of heart!

ok, price reduced to $3.99 ... . Pours a light hazy light golde colour .. medium head on the pour, lacing is a peach /.. . what the heck is a zipperhead eastwood?? .. . kind smells like a pale lager, lots of grain and honey .. . wtf? weird bubble, makes you feel full/sick after 1 gulp.. ya, this is crap.. bitterness is outta whack, tastes kinda off but this has only been on the shelf for 2 weeks, just so outta balance... pike, the average answer... did you know that Macaé,BR has the 16th highest homicide rate outta all Brazilian cities.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FtfXIj6QCW8

a pretty unassuming trippel. as the tandem was pretty good, i was looking forward to this, but the aroma, while of the usual stuff, is pretty weak, as is the body for a stronger beer. the flavor was average at best.

Clear orange gold, a small white cap and very little retention. Nice yeasty aroma with sweet fuit, orange candy, lemon and good spice that is duller and less potent than I expected (not a bad thing). Hey, this has a really good bitter spice up front in the flavour, Yeast, pepper, some clove. In the middle you can pick out some grapefruit and orange but that fades slowly into more spice and a solid, well matched bitterness. The bitterness is pretty good. As it warms the ornage and citrus peeks out a bit more and is well mixed in with the bitter/spice mix... sometimes the spice is dull. Foamy, tons of carbonation, medium bodied, soft, solid spiced finish with good bitterness. There is more fruit near the bottom of my beer instead of extra bitterness. This might be the best US Tripel that I've tried.

Nope not a good triple, it seems they tried to make this beer with a west coast citrus hop twist and I don’t like the end result. Honey brown body crystal clear (what’s not right for the style) and had a minimal cap. Getting some faint skunk in the nose with yeast , lemon, and pepper. All the right smells are here but it’s just not coming together in a good way. Taste is not bad actually but it’s off for the style. Nice yeast malts flavour, some mild but noticeable alcohol, good spice but hiding in the background there’s a west coast hop flavour, (sweet bitter citrus) what seems very out of place. Weird beer to review because I liked it but it missed the style, for a triple its not very good but just for a beer to drink its ok. But in saying that would I ever buy it again….No. If I want a triple I want a real Belgium Triple (eg. La Fin Du Monde, Tripel Karmeliet, Gouden Carolous Tripel) and if I wanted a west coast Hopped beer I’ll grab a IPA. So I’m actually unsure how I feel about the beer.
