With just enough kilned malt to give it color, this beer is in all other ways a traditional west coast, with a nice, dry palate and solid bitterness. Simcoe and Cascade provide beautiful floral, piney, and resinous qualities, with Amarillo bringing the fruit to balance. Prospectors and civilians alike report seeing a huge, red, devilish looking beast carrying a skeleton on its back. A farmer shot the beast in 1893, discovering that it was in fact a large, red camel, with a skeleton attached to its back. While its true origins are unknown, it is believed to be the corpse of a prospector who was dying in the desert and strapped himself to his camel in hopes that it would lead him to water.
