Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7
Bottle: Poured a fizzy deep black color stout with a thin light brown color head with minimal retention and some light lacing. Aroma of sourness and oak are dominating. Taste is also dominated by some sour notes with loads of oak and some light roasted malt notes. I am pretty sure I would have had a hard time to recognize this has a stout since sourness was so dominating. Body is a bit thin with some good carbonation. I am not sure why previous rating are so low – sour stout? Sure but what do expect when its barreled in oak; DMS – couldn't find any trace of?
