Bottle from SL. The pour was dark brown-black, some off-whtie to tannish colored head. The lacing was ok. The aroma was chocolate and cocoa, some roasty elements. Flavor was chocolate, cocoa, roast, with metallic and astringency elements in the finish, not very clean at all. No tropical notes. Mouthfeel was moderate to light for the style, finishing somewhat acidic and squeeky. Another mediocre OC offering, although I suppose I should be content it wasn’t subpar.... or was it? Perhaps.

A black appearance with a tan head. The aroma contains some coffee, chocolate, and a hint of dark fruits. The flavor is rather roasty and bitter with some coffee, chocolate, and a sour presence. Overall a nice stout.

Nice description on the bottle telling how this is a British influenced stout with the addition of Jamaican sugar cane, and let me just say it works wonderfully. Rich brown pour with some dark amber hues, pencil thin khaki head and lots of spotty lacing. Heavily roasted aroma, very fresh with chocolate, molasses, and coffee w/ sugar. Moderately thick and exceptionally smooth, bitter and sweet on the taste buds. Flavor is warming and tasty. Sugary coated chocolate with a hint of rum. Plenty of roasted malts, nutty and slightly burnt. Creamy and drinkable, sweet stout.

Pours dark mahogany with a thin dark tan head. Aroma of espresso, dark chocolate, molasses, and sweet tobacco. Flavor starts nice and sweet, lots of molasses and espresso, turns drier quickly though, walnuts, toast, rum, and charcoal. Long lasting roasted aftertaste. Nice beer, lots of flavors on a very smooth beer. One of Otter Creek's better beers.
