Bottled. Pitch black colour with thick and creamy brown head. Aroma is caramel malts, chocolate, coffee and some mild notes of smoked wood and alcohol. Flavour is quite much the same, along with vanillaish hints. The alcohol is quite strong in the flavour.

Pours out in a opaque black colour with a low pale brown head that quickly firms to a ring. Rich, vinous and malty aroma of dark chocolate, prunes, tobacco, mild smoke, wood,, earth, anise, peppery alcohol, figs, honey and alcohol. Full, chewy and warming flavour of figs, wood, honey, cocoa, dark sweet chocolate, paint, honey, anise and black pepper. Full chewy mouthfeel. Long finish of wood, licorice, pepper, tart honey notes and alcohol with touches of black chocolate.Classy and tasty brew. Sadly a swan song from one of the greatest breweries in the world. RIP Ølfabrikken.
