Our darkest Ale. Roasty coffee-like malt character with chocolate notes balanced with a medium bitterness from Kent Golding Hops. Oatmeal provides a creamy lacy head.

I really wanted this to be a great beer, but I have to report that it is only slightly above average overall. It's not bad, but lacks the flavor of a Guiness or Murphy's throughout.

Blackened ruby and a tan head that doesn’t fade. Big coffee-roasty, definitely dry, but the finish kind of falls away. Definitely different from the Montgomery stout by the same brewer, which is sweet and has more chocolate in the profile. This would be much better if the initial flavor burst would linger a bit longer.
