Much like our blonde, this beer originated in Munich, Bavaria. This dark, malt forward beer is popular due to the nutty and toast-like flavours. Made with a blend of seven different malts, our Old Flame Brunette has enhanced the flavours that the style is famous for. These flavours are then followed by a slight bitter hop flavour and long, dry finish.

Tall can from LCBO. Pours an average size frothy tan head with big thick dirty lace and has a dark amber appearance. Moderate carbonation. Aromas of toasted malt, earthy and resinous notes, a bit grassy. Flavours are mostly earthy, mild roasted malt, grassy and piney notes. A little bit of caramel malt. Drying mouthfeel.

Pours a clean cooper-amber colour with a frothy light-beige head, average retention with some good foamy lacing. Roasty malt, bready, sweetness with some decent blended hops. Nutty taste with some fruity malts. Fairly flat and average mouthfeel. Some hops in the finish, giving a little dryness. Easy-drinking Munich lager.
