Bottled. Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is chocolate, licorice, some roasted notes as well as mild notes of tar. Flavour is salted licorice, coffee, some slight caramel malts and also quite wooden.

Fantastic opaque thick black Imperial Stout. Vinuous and heavily hopped. Dispensed by gravity, small orange head appears then quickly melts away into the still black night below. Also have the stronger oak-aged bottle version to look forward to. Update Special reserve 2004 The bottled version is stunning - jet black with fast disappearing thick orange foam. Again vinuous, viscous and strong - slight cheese note in the finish? This clocks in at 11% - I will buy some more and cellar it for a good few years
