Clear yellow, white lacing lasting foam head. Another typical, standard German beer. Nothing wrong with this beer, but nothing special either. (Velp 201508)

In the supermarket here in Holland, Oettinger is considered a lowbudget beer, available for the same price (0,55 eurocents for a 500ml can) as the 2 other brands of the cheapest beer (AH Basic, the supermarkets' own brand and Lander Brau). Out of all the lowbudget beers of the Dutch supermarkets, this is my favourite. It is nothing special but that's what makes it good. Great for a night of drinking with friends.

500 ml can, bought in Spain. ABV is 4.7%. Crystal clear pale yellow colour, big to moderate white head. Sweetish aroma, notes of candy, some floral and grassy notes too. The flavour is too sweet for a German pils, some artificial "candy" notes, but the beer is still drinkable. A little bitterness in the finish. Not something I’ll buy again, though.

Canned. Golden colour, big creamy white head, which lasts for quite some time. Probably one of the nicest poured pils' I've seen. Aroma is grass, malts and hops. Flavour the same. very clean, but not very exciting.

Water from the graveyard set the stage for this "snail bier". I asume some one brewed this crap, maybe some hops? Avoid at all cost. What poor bastard imported a local for snails only brew?

Bottle. Pils looking with a large white head. Something quite strange in the aroma that fades quite quickly. Grainy, malty taste with a touch of fruit and a trace of skunk. Alright for a pils.
