This time of year in the Rockies, one day can span all four seasons. Morning snow turns to afternoon sun, sending fresh snowmelt into our rivers and into our mash tun. Runoff Red IPA is how we honor the shoulder season. With a complex malt backbone dry hopped for notes of citrus and pine and an alpenglow-red hue, it's as surprising as the season itself.

Strong aroma has a firm hoppy overtone. It pours a luscious clear dark copper with a thick, pale copper head that leaves considerable lacing. Malty flavor has a hoppy, slightly bitter overtone and hints of caramel and apple. Smooth texture has good body and good fizz. All around, darned good!

Pours a nice dark reddish/ copper hue with a tan head that receded quickly but is leaving some thick but patchy lace. Mostly citrus hops that hit you at first smell. Flavor is caramel, grapefruit, and blood orange hints here. Finish is incredibly smooth, not too bitter. Overall a nice IPA, red or otherwise.

Pours a cloudy copper with a 2 finger cream colored head that takes its time. Decent carbonation. Aroma is heavy on the hops, pine and fruit snacks. Taste is unfortunately very uninteresting. only thing you can really pick up is the fruit and some slight bitterness. Disappointing beer.

Wonderfully balanced red/ipa with a very nice sweet and bureau malt character that takes a slight back seat to the abundantly fragrant and tasty citrus and piney hops. Great session brew.
