Pours a clear amber color with small white head that leaves some impressive lacing. Tropical fruit, citrus, pine, resiny hops and some bready malt on the nose. Mango, pineapple, tangerine, pine resin, sweet malt and bready notes on the tongue. Mouthfeel is full and pleasing. Alcohol is well hidden. Wasn't sure what to expect from this beer, but it delivers in a big way. Seek this one out.

Myrcenary pours a light honey color with a solid 2 finger white foam head. Head retention was good and lacing was fair. Aromas of grapefruit, melons, tropical fruits and sweet malts. Flavor best can described as juicy with tropical fruit and sweet malt backbone balanced by grapefruit bitterness that turns a bit floral/herbal. For such a high ABV, the alcohol is well hidden. Medium bodied with a creamy mouthfeel that finishes slightly dry. Very drinkable (for such a high ABV) and extremely tasty. Overall, a very well crafted Double IPA.

Pour is orange/gold with a creamy white head. Juicy hop aroma, full of citrus, tropical fruit and floral notes. Sweet, tropical taste with a lingering bitter finish. Solid.

Sampled at GABF on 9/17/2010. This Imperial IPA pours a slightly hazy gold color from the tap. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is grapefruity, fruity and sweet. A medium to full bodied Imperial IPA. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are grapefruity and citrusy. Lively carbonation. Lots of hop flavor without a lot of bitterness. Hides the alcohol very well. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Thanks Tom .. . Pours a gold caramel, great low stern head .. . sweet whiffs of honey, resin, sap, and pine with leather and oil oil .. . clean cut and enjoyable .. . Sponges grow in the ocean. That just kills me. I wonder how much deeper the ocean would be if that didn't happen.

It pours a thick and hazy burnt-orange/amber with a thick pearl-white head and copious lacing. An aroma of caramelized malts, hops, pine, orange and grapefruit, bread and yeast, light mango and apricot, and mild spices. The mouthfeel is smooth and partly rich. Flavors of caramel malts, hops, grapefruit/orange, light mango, apricot, and spices. Good, but it doesn't really pack a punch.

All the key players were represented, but it wasn't quite beefy enough to be considered a strong IIPA. Easy drinking with a nice hop profile. Solid.
