50cl bottle from Gulating ølutsalg, Larvik - enjoyed at the viewpoint at Gaupekollen, Oslo. Maybe it didn’t like the climb up the hill, it was a bit eager to come out of the bottle. Dark mahogany with a large beige head. Malty and roasty aroma with a fair amount juniper and hints of pine and smoked wood. Moderate sweet and surprisingly flavourful with some slightly sour notes and a pleasant bitterness. Tasty and very enjoyable ale that certainly fits well at a hike in the forest.
