YEAST: Foggy London HOPS: Tettnang, Willamette, Perle MALT: 2-Row, Biscuit, Pale Wheat Inspired by the pre-IPA era of English brewing this pale ale presents restrained hop character allowing us to showcase the malt and yeast used. The beer starts with a malty bready and biscuit quality that gives way to floral and slightly citrusy notes that are emphasized by the esters from the Escarpment Labs Foggy London Yeast. In the early 17th century, the pirate Peter Easton ravaged his way across the globe, eventually ending up in Conception Bay where he reportedly had forts in both Harbour Grace and on Kelly’s Island. Some reports indicate that one of Easton’s lieutenants (one Mr. Kelly) broke ranks, took command of a ship, and sailed it to Kelly’s Island. Once there, he reportedly buried a large amount of treasure, killed one of his officers, and then threw his corpse on to the pile so that his ghost would guard the prize.
