EAST: Foggy London HOPS: Cascade, El Dorado, Equinox, Mosaic MALT: 2-Row, Rolled Oats, Caramalt, Acidulated Malt A departure from our English and European styled ales, our NEIPA shows we are willing to diverge from our previously released styles if it means making delicious beer. The aroma is overwhelmingly juicy and bursting with grapefruit and stonefruit, including peaches and mango. With most of the hopping done as late boil additions or as dry hop additions the bitterness itself is relatively restrained, allowing for a sweet and aromatic New England IPA. A strong ale, at 7.2%, suggests enjoying this beer at a moderate pace and savouring every last drop. In 1932, the American Pilot Lou Reicher departed Newark, NJ en route to Harbour Grace as the first stage in an attempt to establish a faster transatlantic flying route. Fifty miles from the HG airport visibility was poor, but as the plane broke out over Conception Bay, Reicher’s was met with beautiful weather and sunlight so bright that he had a hard time locating the airstrip. The weather seems to always be a little nicer in CBS, and it looks like it’s been that way for a while.
