This one of a kind beer is brewed as a pilsner style beer which is then combined with natural apple juice and essence. The result is a refreshingly smooth beer with a crisp, clean finish, which is perfect for complimenting or cooking with poultry, pork and seafood. Nickel Brook Green Apple Pilsner is a wonderful alternative for those looking for something new!

The beer poured a translucent gold colour with a small white head. The aroma was very apply, crabapply actually. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied with some mild carbonation. The flavour was very much all about apples with a hint of hops. A very nice aftertaste reminded me for several minutes that I had drank this beer. This is a beer I may try again.

I got this in an Ontario Craft Brewers discovery pack. Pours pale yellow/gold with a medium white head that dissipates quickly. The smell of apples begins as soon as you crack then bottle. All apple in the aroma, slightly sweet. The head has settled to a thin layer now. Flavour starts apple, finishes apple, it's all apples. Very clean finish with a medium mouthfeel, low carbonation. If you like apples you'd probably like this. Very high drinkability.

Grab yourself a Molson Canadian (or a Labatt Blue, Miller High Life, Coors, or Budweiser) and go the crab apple tree in the back yard. Take a few apples, put them through the wife's juicer, and add generously to one of the above beers. Presto - a Green Apple Pilsner!

Well this was an interesting beer I must admit. On the surface it may appear a beer for the Chick market. Actually it's quite good. I sampled 2 diiferent batches - tank 3 and tank 4, and while the beer was pretty much the same, with tank 4 being a tad less tart, you really couldn't taste the pilsner part. It reminded me somewhat of the Ephemere, but more tangy and less dry.

This fruit pilsner pours a clean yellow colour with a nice white creamy head that has very good retention and leaves a beautiful uniform layer of lace all around. Carbonation is very active. The nose is pure candy green apple. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel. The taste starts on an apple scent and then lands on a grainy malt flavour. The apple juice is quite present, but not really sweet, just right. A very nice alternative to one of my favorite retired brew... the Niagara Brewery Apple Ale.

Sampled from the first bottled release. The pour puts a light gold lager in the glass with a 2 finder frothy cap ...good retention fair lacing. Lively carbonation Aroma is intensly green apple and cidery, light mustiness and a touch of hay. Light bodied. sharp mouth feel. Modest malt spine. Up front the palate is bathed with granny smith apple tastes and sweet malt sugars as well as being peppered with carbonation like a dry green apple cider ...sweet and tart with no tetectable hop presence.... mid way through you taste some light graininess then the finish is crisp, clean, dry and tart. The overall profile of this beer is like a green apple cider with malt tones to it. A decent summer drink , not to everyonre's tastes but certainly one of the most defined fruit flavored beers on the Canadian market.
