I had this on draft at NBBC. BTW, they'vve renamed it to "Dead Cowboy Imperial Stout", a much better name IMO. It pours black with a two finger tan head and has a nice aroma of chocolate and coffee. The mouthfeel is very creamy and smooth. The flavors are of chocolate, coffee w/ a nice sweet feel. Very good.

Can't say that i've had anything from newport beach. I must say they made a solid impression. A very nice black beer with mod head. Gives off a roasted choc covered nuts aroma. Has alot of depth in the body which is full of chocoffe malts. Very impressive.

Obvious black color with nice sized tan head. This beer claims to have won two medlas at GABF. Aroma is an antiseptic/alcohol quality. Taste is malty, chocolate, floral, oatmeal and bubble gum.

This imperial stout pours with a black body topped by a medium thick head with a little bit of lacing. The aroma is slightly sweet, malty and fruity with a very slight roasty note. The flavor is very similar with more bitter roasty notes in the finish. Not a good imperial stout, in my opinion. Full bodied, smooth and slightly dry.
