Pours a crystal clear golden yellow with a 3 finger head that takes its time, a long time. Heavily carbonated. Aroma is very malty with hints of corn. Taste is fairly dry and creamy with hints of malts and light hops. Finishes off non-existent. For a lager this is actually decent. Sure beats the crappy macros. May have again.

Very light color , the aroma was not that good. Low bitterness, no hops come through at all. Might be really nice on a hot day, overall i was disapointed with this beer. Had higher expectations .

Sampled on 6/21/2012. This Premium Lager pours a medium orange gold color from a 16oz can. Medium to large sized white foamy head, with nice retention and good lacing. The aroma is grassy, fruity and floral with some cereal and malt. A medium bodied Premium Lager. The malts are cereal and grainy with some caramel and fruit. The hops are floral and spicy. Decent carbonation. A light and refreshing lager. Crisp and clean with some nice hop flavors. A lighter beer, great for a session ale on the hot summer day. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet with some bitterness.

Pours a dark golden color. Smell is of hops, a touch of citrus. Taste is the same, hops, malts, some citrus, very pale ale like. Overall an easy drinking and enjoyable beer.

I really like the idea behind this beer--beefing up a standard pale lager with extra hops makes for a very refreshing beer. Two issues though--great hop aroma isn't as noticeable in the taste and it is a little spendy for what I'm getting. At a slightly lower price point, I would have this in my fridge all summer.

Slightly better than the average pale lager - deep yellow pour, tall white typical fluffy head, actually a bit of lacing. Sweetish and lightly grassed aroma, malty, clean.More flavorful than a lot of "pale lagers" with a good malt base, clean but light grassy hops, little linger, watery and super easy to drink. Great lawnmower beer.

16oz can. Pours clear light gold with a medium frothy white head that goes to a thin film that laces the glass.

The aroma is sweet husky wheaty malts with some vegetal notes and a little stinkiness.

The flavor is earthy, grainy, biscuity malts and some sweetness with some herbal bitterness in the finish. Kind of reminds me of a cream ale. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with low carbonation.

Overall, better than macro lagers but not my thing. Vegetal notes, too much biscuit malt with earthy notes.

definitely sessionrific. where does pale lager end and pilsner start. light floral hopping with a great aftertaste. light and infinitely quaffable. pale lager perfected. i'll likely bump my score if i have more than 8 oz this nice...

Really great sessionable brew from New Belgium. I had this the first time on 4/20 at the New Belgium tour. Bright golden, plenty of carbonation and a full creamy mouthfeel. One might take a look at this beer and see a corny, classic lager. but this is a totally refreshing and flavourful beer.

Can. A rich gold hued brew with a fluffy white head. The nose is rich with grainy dough. There is also a little bit of spicy herbal quality from the hops. Pleasing to just sniff. This is smooth tasting with lots of dough and a little bit of peppery bite in the back end. There is also some note of sweet potato. A little bit of tobacco comes through. This is very tasty and easy to drink.
