New Belgium Blue Paddle Pilsner

i do seem to like the noble hops in my pils! that's the strength of this beer, though i didn't like it quite as much as sam adams noble. fairly clean and crisp but with a stronger hop presence than par for the style.

WOW, this is a beutiful pils! This beer starts with a sweet clover smell. The appearance is almost spot on except for a thin body and the head which is short lived. The mouthfeel is OK. The taste is a little corny as others have mentioned. There's is a little malt and yeast too. The finish is thin with the traditional New Belgium hint of chocolate malt. This is an OK beer. Unique for a pilsner I guess, but it's just too complex for me. When I think of a pilsner, I want a refreshing simple lager and this isn't it!

Cant believe i havent tried this one yet after seeing it around for years, or maybe i had tried it and never inventoried it, anyway Aroma of grassy hops, and malt, average yellow body, not much head, but it did leave a little lace, flavor was about the same as the aroma. Overall not a great pilsner but decent enough.

Maybe its just me, but I tasted a perponderance of walnut throughout this one - something of which I am not accustomed in a pilsner. Clear and crisp, especially in the finish. Thanks, bluesandbarbq, for the opportunity.

A clear yellow pour with a decent head and some lacing. Good carbonation. Malty aroma at first then a good amount of hops in the end. Taste is a good blend of crisp, malts and hops with a clean finish. Very refreshing.

This blue paddle beer tastes a little bit on the corny side, as my buddy phishpond pointed out. Other than that I think this beer is an ordinary pilsner.

Clear golden colour with a frothy white head. Aroma is malty with some grassy undertones. Taste comes across a bit too corny for my taste. What could be a refreshing beer is a bit off balance.

Not bad for a pilsner. Bright yellow pour with aroma of grass and hops. The flavor is more hops than your average pilsner and when served very cold makes for a decent beer.

Absolutely nothing wrong with this crisp pilsner. A warm Sunday afternoon, sitting and watching my Celtics hanging around in the playoffs like a loose tooth and as I'm reviewing this beer it's touch and go with my Celts. Finished the Mothership wit and it was promising, so this beer was next on deck. The beer pours out a light-golden/piss yellow color with a scant thin head. Aroma has some herbaceousness and light bready sweetness, like a sweet french bread. Hops seemed to be lacking though. Mouthfeel is subdued, not very assertive..just kinda...light. Flavors are simple enough to detect...light grass, light citrus and a crisp, clean finish. Reminded me in many ways of NC's Scrimshaw Pils.

This brew poured a pale golden color with a nice white head, pour head retention, fair lacing. Aroma was malty and grassy. Flavor was strong pils malts, grassy hops. Mouthfeel thin, light body, crisp, but not special.
