A pilz is a pilz is a pilz. Actually this is pretty much average for a pilz, but there are definitely better ones out there. Wanted to try some straight from Germany, so I guess payin the premium for the import. Been there done that...moving on.

500 ml capped bottle. Poured a slight hazy golden-orange coloured Pils with a generous two fingers white creamy foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Mid sized carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is weak grainy malts. The flavour is sweety grainy malts, a bit fruity, citrus, some cooked vegetables, floral hops. The mouthfeel is slight crispy. This light to medium bodied Pils has a slight hoppy bitter finsih. A decent Pils from the Oberpfalz in Bavaria.

A gazy straw colored beer. Big creamy textured white head rises above. Some hang time....not much, but... Settles into a light film on the sides of the glass and a thin ringlet. Grassy hops in the nose. Grassy hops, sweet malt, grain in the tasting. Some metallic aftertaste. Light bodied, decently carbonated. A session beer if you want to pay the extra scratch.
