The beer pours a solid black colour with frothy brown head. There is some lacing. The aroma is sweet sugary malt, chocolate, coffee, and vanilla. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is milk chocolate and coffee. I’m not getting the coconut and cream cheese notes I expect from a Nanaimo Bar, although as an Imperial Porter, this is quite good.
