The beer poured a solid dark brown colour, almost black, with a creamy tan coloured head. The aroma was pretty basic with the roasted malt notes and ginger providing almost all the aromatics. Any nutty and hoppish notes were buried behind a wall of ginger. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with above average carbonation. The flavour was outstanding to my palate with notes of ginger, roasted malt, and coffee. I really enjoyed this.
