Bottle from Brett - pours a clear deep amber brown with a smallish head and some lacing. Sweet, lightly roasted malt aroma with a touch of molasses and biscuit. Taste is slightly buttery biscuity malts with a slight bitter in the end . Nice doppelbock and great to drink during lent.

Sampled on draft at the brewery. Pours an opaque blackened ruby with a small tan head and nice lace. Aroma is subtle and bready. Flavor is bittersweet and totally doninated by toasted malts. Full-bodied, smooth and lightly carbonated. A very good beer, both generally and style-wise.
