Brewed with our friends at Coronado Brewing Company, we designed a West Coast IPA that pays homage to the old school but with a modern twist. We wanted shades of the classic grapefruit, resin, and pine IPAs of 2010 but by way of new hop varietals. Instead of Centennial, Cascade, and Chinook, we used Talus, Elani, and Simcoe. The results are similar but better. Bright ruby red grapefruit, lime zest, and pine dominate the flavor and aroma, and a light, balanced malt bill makes the hops shine.
