Our version of an authentic Irish, dry stout. Guinness exemplifies this style. Medium to high bitterness with a coffee and slight chocolate overtone. This is one of our most popular beers!

Fresh and a decent stout... drawn almost black with a deep tan head lacing on and on... lightly aromatic - roasted malt. Nice roasted malt flavor, but that's all you get... lacks complexity and variety of flavor bursts.

Tasted this on-tap stout at the brewpub, served in a generic pint glass. Black color with two fingers of tan head, thin cap of foam stayed around for the whole glass, thin sticky sheets of lace. Looked great. Smells of burnt coffee and toasted malts. Full bodied flavor of chocolate malt and roasted coffee. Finishes with just a touch of hoppy bitterness. Similar to guinness, but fuller flavor and not as thin or watery. This was a good one.

Um...what Brett wrote was dead on for this beer. Roasty, nice tan head, pretty smooth, but not velvety. Bottom fermented, I believe, which, IMO generally does a stout a disservice.

Sampled on tap at Morgan Street. An opaque stout with a dark tan head and frothy lacing. Aroma is subtle, like all of Morgan Street's beers, apparently. The flavor is good, but one dimensional: roasted malts. Slightly bitter, full bodied, moderately carbonated with a dry finish. Solid.
