This was really a bit of a dissapointment overall for a stout, but it wasn’t bad. Dark ruby brown, but not quite black with that ultra-tiny bubble wet head from the nitrogen. The aroma had a very strong maple syrup and brown sugar character. The flavor was more of the same mixed in with some coffee, followed by a bit of bitterness in the finish. The flavor had that funny flavor that nitrogen dispensed beers always have and would be better without it. The body was definitely too thin for a stout, though.
