July 2020: 750 ml bottle, crown-capped with swingtop for re-sealing. From Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 6.5%. Reddish brown colour, large to moderate off-white head. Malty and spicy aroma, hints of jam and over-ripe fruits. The flavour has the same elements as the aroma, hints of caramel, moderate hops.

330 ml capped bottle. Poured a clear ruby-brown coloured Ale with a two fingers tan creamy and dense foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Soft carbonation. good lacing. The aroma is toasted and caramel malts, notes of dark chocolate, faint piney aromatic hops. The flavour is sweety malts, caramel, brown sugar, a touch of spice, licorice, mountain herbs and a quite amazing piney hops bitterness. The mouthfeel is crispy, light syrupy, and, although slight sticky, quite smooth. This medium bodied Ale has a long and pleasant hoppy bitter and malty finish. A very nice and rich tasting Ale from the snow paradise Mont Blanc in South East of France. For me, an unexpected beautiful surprise.
