http://www.moabeer.com/variants/#!moa-breakfast Moa Breakfast Beer is a blend of premium wheat malt, floral Nelson hops and cherries. A very refreshing and fruity lager specifically designed as a European-style breakfast beer but more commonly enjoyed as a mid-afternoon beverage here in New Zealand. Although not always.

Pours a fairly clear solar yellow with a thick eggshell head. Aroma is more fruity than wheaty, not strong, but inviting. Wheaty flavor has a firm fruity note, equal parts pear and citrus, a bit thin but still refreshing. Texture has average thickness and not a whole lot of fizz. Well, have it for breakfast.

Dark yellow, white lacing foam head. Promising fresh fruity aroma, however no fruit flavors present in taste. Very wheat dominated, pitty. (Houston 201501)

At first pop you get a sweet fruit smell that lofts in the air. Pours a deep and cloudy light amber with not much of a head that goes away instantly. Aroma reminds me of one of those store brand fruit flavored sodas. Nicely carbonated. Taste is light with hints of fruits and wheat then hits with a hit of dryness. Ending is dry and a tad chalky. Very interesting brew.

Pours a pale golden with a nice white head and decent lacing. The aroma is bursting with fresh cherries. I can smell this from yards away. The taste begins with the cherries but not as much as I expected from the aroma. Moves on a slightly floral citrusy hop profile certainly from the nelson hops. Also grainy slightly bitter. The end goes back to the cherries. The mouth feel is light bodied and pretty crisp.

Quite the interesting brew that I really didn't expecting from and found myself pleasantly surprised by its uniqueness. The only thing I thought going in was fruity pebbles, which I was told it tasted like. Didn't know a style (still don't really). Upon the pour initial aroma is perfumey hops... Then some hard to place light fruitiness atop a nice, light refreshing body. Taste similar, but also has a hint of vanilla and is slightly more obviously cherries.

A murky light yellow colored beer with a very big frothy white head. The head has great hang time. Settles eventually into thick puffs of film aside the glass and thick ringlet/cap atop the beer. The nose is sweet cherries. Wheat and cherries dance beautifully in a room tempered beer. Light, smooth and effervescent. Refreshingingly so.
