pours a little darker and more substantive than most Miller offerings, lot of quickly disappearing head, little lace. The aroma wasn't as offensive either, just a slight hint of hops. The taste, very slight hint of hops but not much else. In a pinch, you can tell this beer has all four requisite ingredients. Glad it's been retired.

Oh my gosh, do I miss this stuff. It's too bad Miller stuck with High Life and gave up on this brew. It was one of the best mass produced beers they made. For some reason it just didn't catch on. It wasn't because of the taste. It had to be marketing or maybe their sales expectations just were too high. It's too bad :(

Why did they get rid of this beauty? this was the best brew they had. Now, its just swill beer, and that nasty sharps, that is the low point of their product line.

As part of my Miller loyalty in the late 90's I must rate this. This was at one time my favorite beer. But I had never drank anything but swill. This beer is no longer with us. Ironic as it is I remember it having more character than most other crappy beers. I do miss my Miller Red Label. It certainly wouldn't be my favorite these days, but in 1997 it was my beer. Ah memories, one last good bye to the defunct Miller Red Label beer. I was hesitant to rate this on memory as I don't like doing that, but in this case I felt the need to!
