A golden export-style ale made from only malt and hops, no fillers or adjuncts. A brilliant golden colour gives a “sparkling” appearance as the gas escapes from the glass. The natural sweetness of the malt is perfectly balanced by the bitterness derived from the hops. This beer represents the way blonde ales were made 100 years ago.

I tried this beer on July 11, 2008 at “Smokeless Joe’s” in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a medium gold in colour, translucent, with a thin white head. The aroma was malty, with some milky tones backing it up. The mouthfeel was medium bodied, slightly creamy, and medium carbonated. The flavour was malt, milk/cream, and biscuity tastes.

Has a thin coat of white foamy head. Has a yellow/orangey colour. Medium carbonation and has good lacing. Aromas are mostly of weak hops and malts, very light. Flavours are quite citrus like, lighter type malts. Pretty smooth and tingly mouthfeel. Easy drinking, much better on tap than in bottle. Hops and malts are well balanced. Not too bad, nice session beer

Pours a nice gold color with a small white head leaving some lacing on the glass. The smell is malty and the taste is the same with some hops coming through in the end. Overall it's somewhat bland but easy to drink and a good beer for a hot summer day.

The beer pours a very clear pale gold colour with a foamy white head that slowly recedes to a nice ring around the edge. The aroma is grassy malt, some citrusy hints, and a nice hoppy nosefeel. The flavour is still mainly m,alt, but there is a somewhat hoppy tone in the mix. Not as well-balanced as it could be.

I really enjoyed this beer, it was a pleasant surprise. It is a pale clear gold colour with a white head. The aroma is nicely balanced between malt and hops. The hops come through in the flavour leaving a nice dry bitter finish.

Bottle. This is a light pale "export" type Canadian ale they way they were made in grandad’s day...for a light golden ale this piles a nice white frothy cap and laces like real ale....it’s aroma is floral-herbal with some sweet malt..not overy pronounced but very distinguishable. Light on body but with enough real pale ale presence to warrant a second glass. maybe too light for CARMA groupies but at least it’s real and head and shoulders above the corn-ale of the mega brewers.

After having the pitiful Mill St. Organic I have my doubts, but after one sip I know there is nothing to worry about. Standard gold in colour with a one finger rocky white cap that survives just above a skim thoughout. Smell is pretty good but there is still some stank to this beer. It's pretty much all grain but not grassy - some sweetness. Taste is missing any extra bitterness - thank that figurehead that people throw money at! This is a very drinkable brew. Comes across empty and bland but what is there is mainly sliced bread - yes, I have distinguished between sliced and non-sliced bread. Some typical Canadain bitterness. Light bodied, mildly carbonated, no middle, leaves the mouth on the dry side. Bitterness is there, yummy belch! Drinkable in mass quantity. Nice to have a blonde ale that is not heavily hopped, if you'd want it.

A pale yellow straw color from a clear bottle (marketing for summer i would think).Kind of too sweet on the palate and quite miss roundness it'nonetheless easy to drink but don't loose your time with this one and go for their Tankhouse Ale like Myke said it's a lot better...

This one pours a very blonde colour with some susdy head. The aroma has hints of sweetness to its, but otherwise is nothing but malts. The mouthfeel is just perfect for a summer beer - crisp and great by the lakeside. Flavour is light, malty and a tad sweet. Some filler in there as well, grains of some sort. Good cottage beer.
