Milton LCBO Outlet #1 (Milton, Ontario, Canada)

The beer pours a hazed golden red colour with a thin rocky light tan coloured head. The aroma is fruity and peppery with grains and caramel. The fruityness doesn't smell like lime though, more orange-y. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is dominated by the chipotle with grains, and caramel notes in the background. The chipotle heat can be felt all the way to the stomach. -

Purchased a big bottle at the brewpub in Ottawa (as they were out on tap). Golden-amber colour, big frothy off-white head, good retention and a little lace, but mostly at the bottom end. Spicy hop nose that is pretty mild, with more fruity malt than anything else. Becomes grainy with time. Same as the taste, grainy cereal malts. Hints of soapy hops and the lime is mildly in the background, making this one a decent fruity malt, refreshing beer. Just wish we could feel the chipotle. Might just feel a slight warmth in the final sips, going down.

Pours a thin layer of foamy head and has an amber appearance. Aromas of roasted malts. Not much else in aroma, very faint. Flavours are somewhat lime influenced with some of the chipotle spiciness coming more in the finish. Also some spiced and resin hops and some earthy malt notes. Fairly bitter and strong astringent mouthfeel. Pretty strong warming sensation on the palate. Smooth wet mouthfeel as well. Not too bad.
