We produce a traditional styled Irish Stout that is served using beer gas to produce that familiar creamy pour. Our black stout has a roasted malt flavour and a hint of toasted walnuts and choclate in the finish. Select imported hops are used to dry out the finish of this ale.

Really nice smooth attack. Vanilla notes with a not too bitter aftertaste. Some citrus, some coffee. A bit of carbonation on the nose. A really nice smooth Stout.

Very Guinness like. Black pour. Can does not give the cascade pour like the draught. Mild aroma says lets get to the drinking. Flavour is old coffee, dark chocolate and acidic sourness. very good for 4.2% abv.

I had this beer at the Mill Street Brewery in the distillery district in Toronto, Dec 12 2012. Dark black colour, with a tan head 1" thick. Presented with micro bubbles rising, just like a Guiness. Flavour of chocolate, coffee. Heavy mouth feel with a light finish. This is one (I had two) of the best beers I have had in a long time. Delicious, better than chocolate cake. The head lasted right to the end and then some. Excellent work Mill St.!

Draught. Colour - brownish black, little head. Aroma - coffee, licorice, dark chocolate, molasses and a bit of unplaceable funk. Mouthfeel - medium bodied. Flavour - dry bitter roast, coffee, chocolate. Overall - a very good beer with a bitter kick.

At the Ottawa brewpub: Very nice look! Thick and creamy head that lasts pretty much throughout. Extremely dark brownish colour. Thick lacing. Creamy full bodied mouthfeel. Aroma of coffee and caramel. Hints of chocolate, mocha, roasted malts in the flavour. Not getting much of the hops, which is fine. Not too bitter. Could be thicker for a stout, but it's good like this, rather than choking on molasses. Loved it!

Tired this one at the Ottawa Bluesfest, two years in a row. Now time to review it. Pours a dark colour with a nice creamy off-white head that is long-lasting and has good lacing. Beautiful coffee smell turning into dark fruits as it breathes. Creamy mouthfeel, but not as thick as expected. Light bitterness with some mild dark fruits. Kind of a refreshing stout, being a little watery.

Beer #3 from Canada Tasting nigyht and the 2nd Mill Street beer. A very good stout along the lines of Guinness, although it's darker and without the cascading bubbles. Lots of roasted malt in this one.

I tried this beer on tap on May 29, 2009 at "Smokeless Joe's" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a blackish-brown colour with a creamy tan coloured head that lasted and produced a thin film down the side of the glass. The aroma was fairly simple with huints of roasted malt and coffee. The mouthfeel was creamy and full bodied, with mild carbonation. The flavour was extremely refreshing, and great. There were the same hints of chocolate in the flavour, along with a nice bitter finish.

This is a beautiful looking black beer. A true stout. The aroma is rather weak, although there is some definite coffee hints. The mouthfeel is disappointing as well, weaker than a stout should be. The flavour is also somewhat watered down, matching the mouthfeel.

Another very fine pour from the Mill Street people. A dark beer with a great coffee aroma (A theme with Mill Street?). Not being a stout lover, this beer was a pleasant surprise. A full-bodied creamy mouthfeel that was hugely satisfying. The hoppy flavour isn;t as bitter as some hoppy brews I've tried, and that alone adds to the pleasantness.
