Inspired by the Calgary Brewpub One of the first beers poured at the opening of our Calgary brewpub in October 2016 and a local favourite ever since. Distinctively smooth, Chuckwagon wheat’s spicy banana aroma and slightly tart dry finish are impeccably balanced for the ideal summer pint.

Part of Mill Street Brewpub mix pack, Calgary brewpub. Pours a fairly small foamy white head that dissipates to a very thin layer. Has a pale straw coloured, lively carbonation. Aromas of wheats, grass, a bit grainy with some floral and herbal notes. Flavours are quite sweet and malty, but a little bit of citrus and floral notes make a subtle appearance. Much more wheaty in the finish with a decent amount of grass and herbs. Slightly dry mouthfeel.

Part of their 2018 Canadian Brewpub Pack. Pours a hazy golden colour with an almost creamy, slightly off-white head that stays a little and creates bits of lacing. Big banana nose from the wheat. The taste has still bananas, but not as strong. Lingering is light. A refreshing regular wheat beer.

The beer pours a hazed light straw colour with a generous white head that lasts a few minutes. The aroma is wheat, spices, bubble gum, and banana. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is sweet up front with flavours of wheat and light fruit, with a mildly tart finish. While it is closer to a hefeweizen than an American Wheat, it is not a beer I would try again.
