Born in our Ottawa brewpub, Big League IPA is a celebration of the spring season and the warm weather ahead of us all. A golden coloured ale with a very floral "grapefruit" flavour from American Cascade hops perfectly balanced with a soft, smooth malt texture and thick, creamy white head that puts it in a league of it's own.

Part of mix spring pack 2017. Pours a very large frothy off white head and has a clear golden appearance. Leaves some sticky lace. Mild grapefruit and citrus hop aromas are quite apparent. Flavours are fairly sweet, definitely notes of grapefruit, not too abundant and overwhelming but finds a nice balance. Citrus and floral hops to compliment the grapefruit. Also some caramel malts, mostly in the finish. Good balance of sweetness and bitterness. This one is the exact same one as Grapefruit League Imperial IPA, which I rated from a growler acquired at the brewpub.

Part of the Mill Street 2016 Spring Sampler pack. A very subtle nose gives way to a gorgeous looking beer with a very nice cap and colour. Highly drinkable; not bitter like most IPA's. The grapefruit is noticeable, but not very subdued. A smooth mouthfeel, it almost has a wheat feel and taste to it to it. One of the best IPA's I've ever had, and certainly one of Mill Street's best.
