Hop Series – Palisade Sampled on 1/28/2012. This India Pale Ale pours a slightly hazy medium orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Large sized white foamy head, with decent lacing and nice retention. The aroma is caramel, sweet, herbal and earthy. A medium bodied IPA. The malts are caramel, fruity and sweet. The hops are herbal and earthy and perhaps a touch garlicky. Decent carbonation. A mildly bitter IPA, where the bitterness last throughout the taste. Touch of orange peel and citrus at the finish. Nicely balanced IPA. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

a rather pedestrian aroma on this one, but the flavor was pleasantly spicy and was the beer's forte. other than that, another avg entry. not quite worth the coin on it's own, but cool as part of the series.
