Sampled on 1/28/2012. This India Pale Ale pours a slightly hazy medium orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Large sized white foamy head, with decent lacing and nice retention. The aroma is caramel, fruity and sweet. A medium bodied IPA. The malts are caramel, fruity and sweet. The hops are herbal and earthy. And unless time has dull this beers hop profile a whole lot, there is not a lot going on here, bitterness wise. Decent carbonation. Nicely balanced IPA, just not very bitter. I am guessing that Mt hood is a aroma hop? Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Pours a clear brownish amber with a decent eggshell-white head. Aroma is hoppy and woody with a subtle fruity undertone. Flavor is rather malty for an IPA, but still pleasing, with a strong hoppy and woody note and hints of pear, wood and caramel. Body is above average, with quite a bit of fizz. Definitely worthy of a try!

one of the more mellow beers from the 2ns release. not boring, but really didn't stand out from the crowd either. more like an apa than an ipa, but still pleasant enough.
